Sorry, but nothing matched your search "". Please try again with some different keywords.
It took me 9 months to create the ONLY blog SEO checklist you will need in 2025.
As a content marketing professional for 7 odd years, I’ve seen my share of highs and lows! And the Google March Update of 2024 was the most humiliating low for most bloggers, including me.
Yes, I was somewhat casual about Google updates – but when you wake up one morning and find out most of your blogs have been hit, things change immediately. And we were no different. After working incessantly on the recovery of these websites, we have finally started seeing improvement.
Google’s point was simple – your content should add value. You can’t keep publishing guest posts and making money out of it. The idea of running a profitable multiniche website and guestposting business was shattered overnight with Google’s policies making helpful content and niche websites a priority.
While working on recovering our impacted websites, we made an all-encompassing checklist that can help you track the work you have to put behind boosting your website’s performance.
This checklist covers all optimization aspects: including keyword research, on-page SEO, and technical SEO.
While there are too many checklists available online, THIS is the one you need – a Backlinko or a Semrush has made their checklists. These checklists are detailed, comprehensive, and authentic but think about it – these are authority websites.
Even if you try to follow everything these checklists ask you for, do you have the time, money, or resource, to actually implement the checklist in your daily operations? I don’t think so. As a small blog in a big industry, it was gratifying to recover blogs after they were hit by the March update – but how did we do it?
Meet the only blog SEO checklist you need in 2025. Stay tuned!
Before I start, here are some pointers to keep in mind:
Use these techniques and tools to ensure your website is all set to perform:
Undoubtedly, GSC is a free tool – and it will play a vital role in tracking your website’s performance in Google search.
GSC Can Help You: ‣ Solve website issues. ‣ Check your website’s Core Web Vitals scores. ‣ Submit the sitemap of your website. ‣ Check which keywords are getting more traffic. |
Bing might not be as popular as Google But the search engine has over 100 active users every day. So, it is worth the optimization.
This is one of the most efficient ways to find out how your target audience is finding your website – and most importantly how they are using it. Moreover, you can connect your Google Analytics with your GSC – that way, you can access your data in one place.
Google Analytics Can Help You: ‣ Check your website’s traffic – the one that comes from Google. ‣ Find which pages are bringing in traffic. ‣ Track whether the traffic on different web pages is decreasing or increasing. ‣ Analyze your website’s average page views, time on site, and engagement rate. ‣ Identify other search engines and websites that is, fetching your website traffic. |
Yoast is a popular SEO plugin – and for all the right reasons. With Yoast, you can easily optimize your website for the search engines. It can also help with technical SEO such as with sitemaps and robots.txt.
While tools are vital, you also need to identify your key performance indicators. Where are these efforts directed? What is the purpose behind your SEO efforts?
The Most Common KPIs (in this context): ‣ Organic traffic.Keyword rankings. ‣ Brand awareness. ‣ Backlink growth. ‣ Page loading time. ‣ Bounce rate. |
You will need a rank tracker and there are several tools to consider. I like using Semrush’s Map Rank Tracker – it helps me track local businesses and their rankings. How else will you know if your SEO strategy is working or not?
If you can’t get hold of a paid account on Semrush, definitely get the free version. With a Semrush account, you can spy on competitors, fix issues on the website, research keywords, and more.
Finally, you need the game-changing Backlink Analytics Tool. You can also try out Semrush’s free version – it will help you analyze your website’s backlinks and authority. Moreover, you will be able to identify the bad links that can harm your ranking on SERPs.
If you are planning to start your first blog and let your creativity flow, you should also have the thought of monetizing it in the back of your mind. Right?
In reality, when people start a blog, they are not worried about monetizing it. Their first thought is to write the most creative piece of content and edit the best pictures to complement it. However, when it comes to blogging, if you wish to do it full-time monetizing should be in your mind.
This is why we are bringing you the ultimate SEO checklist to monetize your blog. Once you are done, you can checklist these items by SEO checklist by Collaborator.
Your blogging definitely starts with a website, and when we hear the term Search engine optimization, the first thing that comes to our mind is ranking and getting traffic. Yes, that is the basic, but did you know SEO works even when you have zero content on your website?
Let us break it down this way!
The first time you get inside a store, you look around and take in the atmosphere. If the shop is not welcoming you wouldn’t be interested in the goods. Think of your website as the first impression.
Here are some of the ways you can SEO optimize your website and, at the same time, ensure that people stay browsing.
Your creativity is certainly important, but if you do not take care of the technical SEO, you can never have the audience appreciate your creativity. The only way you can get someone to click on your website is if they rank, and to rank them, you will need to optimize it.
Some of the best on-page SEO elements that can help with this mission are as follows.
Off-Page SEO is something we often tend to forget, but advertising your blog page in other corners of the internet is also a way to help your audience find you. For example, if you are someone who finds your blog not getting the right recognition even after the talent, it is probably the promotion.
Here is how you can increase the Off-Page SEO for your blog.
Now, coming to the creativity part of your blog.
Yes finally!
Your information is a contributing factor to your SEO. However, not every SEO checker will have this. So, you should always rely on an SEO checker with the right readability in it.
Here is how your content matters when it comes to SEO.
Now comes the decorative side of any blog. Although written content is an important part of blogs, it cannot just be boring plain wiring page after page. So, you need to add aesthetic elements to accompany it. This is where pictures and videos come into play.
If you know a good illustrator, you can even have a catchy logo for your blog and get some animated designs for the pages. Animation is known to be retained in human memory more than a picture.
On top of that, if you have a video illustrating what you have written, your audience will automatically be hooked on the blog page. This is mostly ideal for fashion and lifestyle-related blogs.
If you have an SEO checklist of everything given above, you should know that your blog is initially ready. Once you are done with these criteria, you are free to look through any creative inputs for your content.
Because these SEO formats should be able to get the audience to your page organically, but without the right bait, you shouldn’t be able to keep them.
This is why as a blogger, you need to give them something authentic and unique because the SEO will get you on the top, but it is the creativity that will give you the niche superiority.
