Sorry, but nothing matched your search "". Please try again with some different keywords.
I’ve already shared my love for Google Doodles, and Google Block Breaker is one of my favorite Google games of all time. Interestingly, I have come across a new option, a new favorite—Google Boba Game!
Yep, I love bubble tea – and now that Google has come up with the simple art of making some bubble tea to share with friends, I’m all up for it!
Surprisingly, this game has been around for quite some time, and I am stupid for not coming across it before. But now that I have found it, I have to write about it.
Today, I will discuss how you can play the Google Boba game and ace it with a few easy clicks!
Stay tuned.
So, the easiest way to access the Google Boba Game is to simply type in ‘Google Boba Game’ on your device’s Google search. You can play the game from both your smartphone and desktop.
You just need to remember that, at times, you might not find the game directly from a Google search. If you face a similar situation, then you can access this minigame by typing the name of the game in your language.
While playing this game, I didn’t encounter this issue, but I did come across some reviews online that mentioned this problem.
For instance, one woman in France talked about how she couldn’t find the game initially. But after she typed ‘jeu Google Boba,’ i.e., Google Boba Game, she was able to access it.
However, for most people, typing the game’s name in the search directly is enough – immediately, the doodle accompanied by the ‘play’ button appears on top. So, you just have to click on ‘play’ and start playing.
So, in this minigame, you will become a Formosan Mountain Dog running a stall that sells bubble tea in the middle of a lush, rainy forest. The tea-making process is pretty simple – fill up cups with ingredients in a way that you can reach a specific line. So, if you can stop on the exact line, you will receive a star.
Also, every player can get three stars at the most from each customer. You have to complete five orders daily, with each order becoming progressively more difficult than the previous one.
The primary feature of the Google Boba Game is to stimulate the functioning of a tea shop that allows users to create different varieties of bubble tea and serve them to customers.
As I was saying a little while ago, you have to deliver 5 orders after filling up cups with various ingredients like boba, fruit jelly, while trying to hit a certain line.
So, here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the gameplay:
So, if you are new to Google Doodles and are wondering how to improve those low scores in the Google Boba Game, here are some hacks that can help you!
The game will reward players not for filling up cups with different ingredients – but rather for precision. Yep! How precisely you are filling up a cup can make all the difference. So be attentive to the lines and try to opt for the right amount.
If you can nail the tea-making process and fill up cups with accuracy, then you are on the right track. So, just complete all the orders and maximize both your progress and earnings in the minigame.
The click-and-release gameplay is all about releasing the click and filling up cups till the specified point – timing is everything in such cases. So you have to keep experimenting with timing to discover the right spot for all the ingredients.
Just like any other game, only practice can improve both your timing and accuracy. So don’t get demotivated if you cannot do well on your first few attempts. It might sound like a simple game, but timing is essential – and only practice can make you perfect.
This Google Doodle minigame does not have any exact, direct alternative. However, I found games with a similar, cafe-themed, and cosy experience, specifically suited for mobile platforms.
These alternatives include:
Boba Story is a popular mobile game that enables players to run a cafe and serve beverages inspired by various cultures. Players can also earn coins in this game and use them to decorate the establishment.
While Coffee Talk is not exactly a bubble tea game, it is a visually appealing, novel-style game that lets players work as baristas and make coffee (and other drinks) in a cafe-like, cozy setting. Also, players can engage with unique guests in the game.
This game happens to be a popular part of Google’s honorary doodles. So, why did Google feel like honoring bubble tea? Bubble tea was first discovered in the 1980s in Taiwan. Simply put, any cold tea that is flavored and sweetened can be called bubble tea – ‘bubbles’ here signify little pearls like jelly or tapioca pearls that can be consumed through a straw with the rest of the tea.
On 29 January 2020, Google announced that bubble tea would get an emoji. In this context, the search engine giant created a new minigame—the Google Boba game!
Moreover, if you love Google Doodles (much like me), chances are you will encounter familiar faces while interacting with this entirely hand-drawn tea-making game. Personally, I’m a huge fan of Google Garden Gnomes. For example, the iconic ‘weather frog’ mascot, Froggy, appears in the game. In addition, the popular feline heroes of the Magic Cat Academy and Doodle Champion Island Games also make appearances.
I got 10 stars on my first attempt at the game. What about you? Tell me in the comments below!
