With new and advanced AI tools being developed for all industries, they are now coming to the forefront rapidly. Just like how ChatGPT stirred headlines and how Google followed suit with BardAI, they are now busy in work with a new AI tool for journalists.
As reported by the leaders of leading American newspapers like The Washington Post, the New York Times, and News Corp (owners of the Wall Street Journal), this tool will help journalists come up with creative stories and headlines for the news reports they are working on.
Google finally decided to comment on it, saying that “These tools are not intended to, and cannot, replace the essential role journalists have in reporting, creating and fact-checking their articles.”

Google also stated that this AI tool is designed to give journalists come up with the best story possible by providing them with different creative options for writing headlines, which would then characterize the entire news report that they will be writing. This would only be used by journalists to make their work easier and enhance the quality of their work and their productivity.
However, the News Media Guild for the Associated Press of the USA is still skeptical about this development. Their president – Vin Cherwoo – said that “We’re all for technological advances helping our reporters and editors do their jobs. We just don’t want AI doing their jobs. What’s most important for us is to protect our jobs and maintain journalistic standards.”
Google has also revealed that this AI tool will come out sometime early next year.
